The Gambling Community Weighs In
I just checked out the 2004 MLB lines on Betonsports.com. No surprise, the Yankees are favored to win the World Series, but right on their heels are the Red Sox and Cubs. Worst odds to win? Tigers, you say? Wrong. Milwaukee. Followed by Pittsburgh, then the Tigers. And you thought signing Pudge wouldn't make a difference. In fact, they give the Tigers better odds to win their division than the Rangers theirs.
Here's my completely unthoroughly researched prediction:
AL WEST:
Oakland
Seattle (with 75 wins)
Anaheim
Texas
AL CENTRAL:
Chicago
Minnesota
Kansas City
Cleveland
Detroit
AL EAST:
Boston
New York
Toronto
Baltimore
Tampa Bay
NL WEST:
San Francisco
Arizona
Los Angeles
San Diego
Colorado
NL CENTRAL:
Chicago
St. Louis
Houston
Pittsburgh
Cincinnati
Milwaukee (110 losses)
NL EAST:
Philadelphia
Florida
Atlanta
New York
Montreal
