Comments:
I have two guesses:

1) Dan Wilson's inside the park home run.

2) Bobby Ayala's one and only save as a Mariner (OK, there may have been more), prompting Lou to promise him daughter's hand in Marriage.

Forget the inside-the-park home run... Dan Wilson getting TWO hits in a game? Truly historic.

Come on guys, there's even a special notation and everything.

OK, so did Russ Davis set the franchise record for reaching on a catcher's interference or something?

Close. It was the last time that a Mariner reached via catcher's interference. June 1, 1997.

John Halama just made a Bill Buckner-esque error.

Speaking of Buckner, there's apparently a Bill Buckner Hitting Camp somewhere in northern Idaho or eastern Washington. At a Cougar football game this year I saw a bunch of kids with their "Bill Buckner Hitting Camp" t-shirts, and maybe it was the whiskey talking, but I almost offered one of the bigger kids five bucks for his until I realized that five bucks was five more bucks than I could bring to the table anyway.
